Sketching and Wireframing

Sketch 1

The Northwest Film Forum site had way too much content. It was easy to get lost and hard to accomplish any tasks. I quickly sketched a desktop and mobile version of the site to help users easily purchase tickets.

With this sketch, I made the user task and design as simple as possible. I intended to show just how simple the site could be, helping the designer see the page priorities.

I wanted to make one of my favorite sites a little more "content-rich," so I decided to play around with some reprioritizations of their content. I was also trying to integrate the music player more heavily into the design, and I wanted to increase social integration and customization.

I attempted to integrate the music player as a critical feature with this wireframe. I was also trying to imagine what it would be like if you could sign in to a content source site like Pitchfork and customize the types of content you were shown--sort of like a cross between a retail site and a content site.
